ECUACARGAS S.A., committed to its employees, will carry out awareness activities (minimum 1 per year) to help detect and prevent acts of bribery. 

1.1 Bribery: Bribery refers to the action of offering, promising, giving, receiving, or soliciting, directly or indirectly, something of value to unduly influence the conduct of a person in the performance of their duties, with the aim of obtaining or retaining business or undue advantages.

1.2 Connected Person: A “connected person” includes any individual, entity, business partner, supplier, customer, agent, or intermediary who has business relations with ECUACARGAS S.A.

Public Official

: “Public official” means any government employee, official, representative, political candidate, or any other person holding a public office, whether at the national, regional, or local level, as well as employees of public international organizations.

Whistleblowing Channels

: “Whistleblowing channels” are the means established by ECUACARGAS S.A. for employees and other connected persons to confidentially and securely report any suspicion or incident of bribery or corruption.

ECUACARGAS S.A. communicates and disseminates this policy to all its employees and connected persons, ensuring that all parties understand their responsibilities and the risks associated with non-compliance with this policy.

ECUACARGAS S.A. exercises due diligence in relationships with third parties and establishes clear procedures to investigate and take action in the event of any suspicion or incident of bribery or corruption.
